Holbrook Woodstock

North Fulton-based Holbrook Communities is planning a 20-acre active senior living community in Woodstock, with completion expected in October, 2020, the company said in a statement.

A “ground blessing” ceremony has been set for 10 a.m. Friday at the future site of Holbrook Woodstock, 13682 Ga. Highway 92. City and pro-ject officials are scheduled to speak.

Holbrook Communities describes the project as consisting of “over 175 active living residences, 74 enriched living residences, 25 inspiration residences and 16 active living cottages.”

The project is the company’s third in the Atlanta area in the luxury active adult category.

“The amenities are unprecedented and feature an indoor saltwater pool, an award-winning culinary services director, farm to table restaurants open to the public, wine cellar, full service spa, travel club, match maker service, small business incubation center, an exclusive sports bar, concierge physician and much more,” Holbrook Communities said in a statement. “Each residence comes equipped with all utilities, Wi-Fi, house cleaning and an ionization system that releases negative ions clearing the air of airborne allergens. Valet transportation is available featuring Teslas and a super charging station.”

According to Al Holbrook, CEO, one of his main objectives is “breaking the stereotype of what it means to be an active senior. Holbrook Expeditions, a troupe within the Holbrook communities, allows residents to explore beyond Holbrook’s walls with trips to wellness cruises and even climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.”

Holbrook Communities recently hired award-winning chef Tom McEachern as its director of culinary services. Over the span of his career, he received special recognition as a James Beard Foundation recipient and was featured in national publications such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Flavors Magazine.
